AfterAI Weekly Vol. 12 2025-08-20

This week, a good app idea jumped into my mind, and I have been almost entirely occupied with that new project. That means… I’m being in a trouble coming up with a theme for this issue.

I installed Comet, an AI web browser developed by Perplexity. It has a collapsible AI pane on the right side of the window and you can ask it to operate the browser for you. For example, I requested the in-browser AI to share about AfterAI Weekly vol.11 on Twitter and Instagram. It composed posts with hashtags and images, and submitted them in the same way I would do. The good thing of this approach is that the AI can access the login information cached on browser, therefore you don’t need to manage the AI to log in to services. The best use case I have discovered so far is booking a hotel with the AI. It’s so convenient that you can ask the AI to filter out hotels in dangerous areas especially when you are not familiar with the neighborhoods.

I’d like to share the cute illustrations drawn on the packs of disposable towels. I got them at my local cafe on the weekend. They made me feel it would be a waste to just throw them away; a sentiment that only analog things can evoke.

週刊 AfterAI Vol.12 2025-08-20

今週は急に作りたいアプリのアイデアが浮かんで、それにほとんどのリソースを投下していました。ということであまり書くことがなくて困って います。 ^-^

AIブラウザの Comet を試してみました。これが未来を感じさせてくれるもので、AIがブラウザの画面を人間の代わりに操作してくれるので「AfterAI Weekly の vol.11 が出たって ことを Twitter と Instagram で広告して」というと、ブラウザに残っているログイン情報を使ってアカウントにログインし、それぞれのプラットフォームで投稿してくれました。他にも、ホテル予約サイトで「今の画面に出ている候補の中から、安全な地域のものを教えて」といったらちゃんと理由と共に絞り込んでくれました。 ホテル予約サイト上のホテルの評価はホテル自体の評価とその周辺地域の評価がごっちゃになっているので、このように自由にAIに質問できて大変便利です。

カフェでもらったお手拭きにかわいいイラストが描いてありました。「捨ててしまうのはもったいない」という気持ちはアナログでしか作り出せない感情ですね。
